STELLA SW which has achieved many results both in Japan and overseas has been remodeled with a number of technologies. Gained further advantages such as improved drag performance by XX TOUGH DRAG, improved castability by INFINITYLOOP, improved gear strength and durability by INFINITYXROSS, prevention of line trouble by ANTITWISTFIN, and more. Also, details such as the addition of a waterproof seal to the handle knob and increasing in diameter of the drag knob have been reviewed and upgraded in every direction. New STELLA SW is unleashed with further refined performance to face the big fish head-on in the saltwater scene.

Features

• X Rigid Rotor - By using an aluminium alloy and verifying the thickness arrangement in detail through repeated 3D analysis, we have achieved tougher rigidity, durability, and excellent rotation balance than ever before. This high rigidity also contributes to improved functionality of the drag and other parts.
• X Rigid Handle - A high-rigidity cold-forged handle that transmits the angler's power without loss.
• High Rigidity Bail Arm - To increase rigidity, the bail arm is made of metal, just like the rotor. It transmits the power of the Stella SW without distortion during high-load line retrieval and drag running. The metal plating treatment maintains a smooth surface for a long time. It reduces damage to the line.
• Specialised Line Roller - The surface is treated with a special process (diamond-like carbon) to reduce friction and prevent line wear. It is also equipped with a contact-type waterproof seal that blocks seawater from entering the line roller section. This protects the internal bearings from harsh environments, and the durability is improved by more than 10 times compared to non-equipped models. *According to Shimano's comparison test.
• Line Roller Loosening Prevention Mechanism - The line roller, which takes the force of large fish, is equipped with a mechanism to prevent loosening. The bolt that stops the line roller is doubly fixed with a set screw to make it even more difficult to loosen.
• CI4+ Handle Knob (except 14000) - The handle knob is made of the carbon material CI4+, which is both highly rigid and lightweight. (The 14000 series uses a lightweight hollow oval round knob.)

XX TOUGH DRAG

Each drag component designed for intense driving exclusively utilise metal and abrasion-resistant carbon washers tailored for the Stella SW D. In addition to the traditional drag washer located at the bottom, we have enhanced the spool structure to accommodate a larger washer at the top. This advancement significantly boosts the drag's durability. 

Thanks to the combined improvements in the drag structure and the incorporation of an integrated heat sink, we have also achieved a reduction in drag force loss due to heat by approximately 30% compared to earlier models.

INFINITYLOOP

INFINITYLOOP technology enhances flight distance, casting feel, and drag smoothness by winding the line in an orderly and precise manner. There are three notable focus points. The first is setting the optimal thread winding pitch for saltwater models. This model is tightly wound with a pitch narrowed to about half that of the previous model, providing a clear casting feel and thoroughly suppressing line troubles. Additionally, when the drag is activated, tight winding reduces the number of times the line moves up and down, allowing for smooth delivery.

The second improvement is the shape of the bobbin wound into the spool. By reviewing the turn angle of the worm shaft, the bulges that tend to occur at both the top and bottom ends of the spool are replaced with a flatter spool shape, reducing drag and line release resistance, and minimising trouble.

The third feature is a 2-speed oscillation system that changes the thread winding pitch as the spool moves back and forth. When the line is released from the spool ring side to the skirt side (downward), the finely wound line reduces release resistance and increases flight distance. In the opposite direction, the coarsely wound line prevents the line from digging in at high drag. This well-thought-out mechanism for the SW model further improves line release performance and eliminates trouble.

INFINITYXROSS

Advances in gear tooth design and manufacturing technology have expanded the contact area between the drive gear and pinion gear with INFINITYXROSS. By distributing the load on the gear teeth, damage caused by concentration of damage is prevented and durability is improved. The NEW Stella SW has increased this tooth width by approximately 1.3 times compared to the previous model. It is now possible to maintain a smooth gear feeling even when winding with a higher load.

ANTI-TWIST FIN

The ANTI-TWIST FIN mechanism features flexible fins placed near the line roller section to actively suppress line slack. By using an elastic material for the fins, damage caused when the knot part is rolled up is also prevented. This innovative fin ensures the line stays securely on the spool, preventing frustrating tangles and ensuring it winds up tightly under tension. This feature is especially useful for fishing techniques prone to line slack, such as squid jigging.

Additionally, it prevents the line from getting caught inside the spool or winding abnormally, a common frustration for anglers using spinning reels. With this mechanism, fishing becomes much more stress-free and enjoyable, allowing you to focus on the thrill of the catch.

AR-C SPOOL

The AR-C spool features a specially designed spool ring that creates a streamlining effect, significantly reducing line troubles and enhancing long-distance casting performance. The 25 Stella SW is equipped with a new AR-C shape that improves the spool ring collar, making it less likely for the line to ride on it and reducing line straddling on the spool, which can cause line troubles.

In addition, during saltwater fishing, the spool ring is subjected to considerable stress under harsh conditions. To address this, the surface of the spool ring is coated with a strong abrasion-resistant barrier, further improving durability. This coating also reduces damage to the line, ensuring the surface remains smooth and scratch-resistant for a longer period of time.

X-PROTECT & X-SHIELD

The intrusion of seawater is a significant threat in saltwater fishing, as it can corrode metal parts and drastically reduce the reel's performance. To combat this, the Stella SW is equipped with X-SHIELD and X-PROTECT technologies, which provide comprehensive protection against water intrusion.

X-SHIELD features seals throughout the reel, including the body, drag knob, and line roller, effectively blocking all potential water entry points. Notably, the body and stopper have achieved an IPX8 rating, a high standard for waterproof performance, ensuring exceptional reliability and durability even in the harshest SW fishing conditions.

X-PROTECT enhances this protection by incorporating a newly reviewed waterproof structure that not only maintains waterproof performance but also achieves lighter rotation. This innovative design balances the seemingly contradictory elements of high waterproof performance and smooth, silky rotation, allowing anglers to enjoy a superior fishing experience without compromising on durability.

The handle knob also has a waterproof structure.

NEWLY DESIGNED DRAG KNOB

The Stella SW has refined the details of each component, including a drag knob that is approximately 25% larger in diameter to enhance operability. This larger knob not only makes it easier to grasp for quick adjustments but also allows for more precise fine-tuning. This provides a significant advantage when you need to quickly tighten or loosen the drag while battling a big fish.

• Items “On Sale”, Clearance or Discount are not eligible for return (excluding consumer guarantees as required by law)
• Gift Vouchers are not eligible for return or refund.

Line Spooling

Any line spooled on a reel sold by Fishing Station, that is to be returned, is subject to a $15 de-spooling fee (per reel).
 

30 Day Returns Policy (For Online Orders)

• Product/s must be unused
• Still in original packaging and condition (including any shrink or plastic wrapping)
• Returns window is activated from date of delivery from logistics carrier (or date of pickup from post office)
• All return postage costs are paid by buyer
• Original shipping costs are non-refundable
  
  

Returns Process

• Contact us to open a Return Authorisation
• Provided the request falls within the 30 day returns window, we will email through a Return Authorisation form
• This form must be included within the box for the return.
• Please ensure sufficient packaging and protection inside the box to prevent transit damage
• Our returns address will be provided at this time.

Parcel tracking and insurance is strongly recommended. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure the parcel reaches us. We will not accept returned goods stamped “More To Pay”.

All returns are carefully examined upon receipt to ensure they adhere to the returns policy. Relevant photos will be taken to confirm this.

Any returns received:

• Outside the returns window,
• Damaged,
• Without prior authorisation

will not be processed, and will be shipped back to the buyer at their cost.

In-Store Returns

• We have a separate returns policy for instore purchases – please ring the shop to confirm this.
• All returns (for orders placed online) can also be processed in-store, within the 30 day returns window.
• Prior authorisation is not required for in-store returns, however please bring your invoice.
  
  

Incorrect / Damaged Items on Arrival

Any imperfections to orders received must be reported to us within 24 hours of delivery. If an incorrect item has been sent, please do not open any sealed packaging – any attempt to use the incorrect item will be deemed to be acceptance of the item by the buyer.

Please follow these instructions:

• Prior to opening, please take photos immediately of the damaged box
• Please take photos of the damaged item showing the fault (if possible)
  
  

We will replace items that are damaged in transit by the carrier, or incorrectly shipped due to fulfilment errors on our side. Please contact us and we will arrange the return and replacement.

Warranty Claims / Faulty Items

It is the policy of Fishing Station that all warranty and faulty item claims come back to our shop first for inspection by our staff. Should the item need to be sent back to the manufacturer, the buyer will be notified and kept up to date with its repair progress.

Intentional misuse of an item by not following instructions and usage guidelines, such as (but not limited to):

• Submersing a reel
• Breaking a rod by exceeding its strain capacity

Will not be covered by our warranty and fault protocol, and the item will be returned to the buyer at the buyer’s cost.

Australian Consumer Law Guarantees

All products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. This entitles buyer’s to:

• Replacement or refund for a major failure of the product
• Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage
• Repair or replacement of the goods if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
