Beach/Rock Rod & Reel Combos

Beach fishing is one of the most pleasant and accessible forms of recreational fishing, and luckily for us, especially here on the beautiful Northern Beaches we are blessed with fantastic fishing from the ocean beaches and adjacent rocky headlands. While this can be a simple and family friendly past time, it does require some modified tackle to make it so.

Our Rock and Beach fishing combos are made to give you an outfit that will allow you to target the species found along our immediate coastline. Beach and rock fishing rods must be of a greater length than those used from a boat. This gives you greater casting distance and higher clearance from waves or rocky ledges necessary when fishing in these turbulent environments. Reels must be able to deal with the tough environments along the beaches and rocks, where salt spray and sand are an inevitable occurrence.

We have rod and reel combos to cover beach fishing the gutters for whiting and bream, or you can step it up a line class to chase high flying salmon. Spin the rocky headlands with metal slugs, or drifted pilchards for bonito. Our heavier outfits could even see you searching for the elusive Mulloway with the sand between your toes.
