Live Bait Tubes
When live baiting from a boat, it is no secret that the liveliest baits are the ones that get bitten. Most fishing boats these days come standard with live bait tanks to keep your baits swimming and lively when out on the water. But the ability to quickly grab one, have it rigged and pitched overboard when a fish is raised or sounded is often difficult with a livey swimming circles in a tank.
Enter the live bait tube. Live bait tubes are nothing new, but their worth when setting a boat up for game fishing is phenomenal. Single or twin tubes with a conical base are plumbed into the boats deck wash or live bait pump, allowing a strong, constant flow of clean saltwater up and out of the tubes from the base.
