There is no brand more synonymous with quality than Saltiga. After a long hiatus, Saltiga Surf returns with the introduction of a range of surf rods specifically designed for Australia and our varying requirements all across the country.

Built off a HVF Nanoplus graphite blank utilizing the full gamut of Daiwa technology, Saltiga Surf incorporates full 3DX and X45X Full Shield graphite reinforcement throughout the entire blank length. This creates a surf rod with incredible casting distance, thanks to the unmatched responsiveness of the blank. 3DX and X45X enable the rod blank to recover from bent from straight much faster than rods without this technology, which makes Saltiga Surf some of the best distance casting rods available today.

Equipped with a combination guide train of Fuji Lowrider SiC guides on the butt sections and anti-tangle K series guides on the tips. Custom designed Daiwa reel seats, shrink wrap grips and adjustable weight butts finish off the build of what will be the flagship surf rod in the Daiwa range.

Also included in the range is a dedicated ‘Slide’ model built to cater to the ever- increasing fishery originating from South Africa. Slide bait fishing involves the use of specifically designed rods using low-mount reel seats and mechanical trigger to cast heavy grapnel sinkers incredibly long distances.

Saltiga Slide 1463 is perfectly suited to sliding for Spanish mackeral and other pelagic species, and even smaller sharks and rays.

Features

X45X FULL SHIELD - X45X Full Shield Technology is 25% more efficient than standard X45 technology. With increased torsional stiffness, blanks armed with X45X resist blank twist during casting & jigging. This characteristic prevents the blank from losing stored energy during the cast, ensuring that every bit of force you put into your cast, is transferred through the blank and ultimately to your chosen lure.

3DX - 3DX supports the lower power section of the rod by knitting densely packed carbon fibers in 3 directions to achieve a six wrap rectangular weave. Power through the blank under load is distributed evenly in all directions allowing it to maintain its profile and form. This process confines the rod’s power to the lower section of the rod, increases power, eliminates blank twist and collapse, all the while reducing angler fatigue.

SVF NANOPLUS - Through the use of nano resin technology, SVF Nanoplus blanks are lighter and have increased sensitivity over standard SVF blanks due to their higher carbon density.

V JOINT ALPHA - Lighter and stronger than its predessor, V-Joint Alpha features Bias construction that allows the rod joint to flex with the rod to eliminate flat spots and weakness in the ferrule joint.

DAIWA REEL SEAT - One of the strengths of Daiwa rod design. Designing and producing exclusive reel seats allows Daiwa rods to be unique with functional benefits over the competition. More comfortable, better designs and unique looks is what Daiwa reel seat design is all about.

FUJI SIC RING - SiC has been the gold standard of guide ring material for over 20 years. Super hard, light, and highly polished and smooth, SiC guides are an excellent dissipater of heat making them ideal for light drags and/or big fish.

FUJI STAINLESS STEEL GUIDES - Light, strong, and highly corrosion resistant, Fuji stainless steel guides are tailor-made for Australia's harsh conditions.

FULL GRIP - A one-piece, single, rear grip that runs from the reel seat to the end of the rod.
