Built upon the formidable foundations of 23 SALTIGA, the new 24 CERTATE SW features AIRDRIVE DESIGN decreasing winding resistance & reducing the weight of the front unit. The new ZAION AIRDRIVE ROTOR is what sets it apart from SALTIGA, but it’s what it shares with SALTIGA that makes this reel so suited to Australia’s harsh conditions.
It all begins with a solid one-piece aluminium monocoque (MQ) body, housing an oversize G1 Duralumin drive gear for increased winding power, strength & gear durability. The MQ body eliminates flex & twisting and improves weather sealing thanks to the one-piece construction with no seams or screws to hold a side plate on.
24 CERTATE SW is now available from 4000-6000 sizes in both H & XH ratios. The addition of the 4000 size now puts it firmly in the limelight for a workhorse snapper reel, barramundi or other heavy-duty fishing which doesn’t require high line-capacity of heavy PE line
Features
Automatic Tournament Drag - Daiwa's Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag start up. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia and combined with the structural changes of the ATD Drag System results in a smoother drag from the initial hook up.
Magsealed Body - Ultimate protection is delivered to the engine room of the reel with a magnetised oil seal located on the main shaft of the reel's rotor shutting the door to the elements and unwanted intruders. Dust, water, and salt intrusion into the inner workings of a reel are a thing of the past with MagSeal.
Monocoque - A one-piece frame eliminates the use of traditional two-piece body & sideplate construction. A single piece body utilises a screw-in engine plate to house the main gear, reducing flex and twist under load creating a sealed mechanism. The elimination of the side plate has also allowed for a more compact body design. MQ technology not only makes reels stronger & better sealed, but also more compact.
AirDrive Design - Daiwa's new Airdrive Design, a four pillar (Airdrive Rotor, Airdrive Bail, Airdrive Spool, and Airdrive Shaft) design concept that reduces weight, and enhances rotational smoothness and responsiveness to create a reel that is next level in both form and function.
