The newly launched Transformer F30 from MAXEL is one of the smallest reels on the market. Weighing just 400 gr, the competitively priced jigging reel boasts high quality workmanship and a new feature – magnetic cast assist – to minimise unwanted ‘bird’s nests.
Despite being compact and ultra-light, it is a tough reel that has a maximum drag of 20 kg and can accommodate 30 lb / 400 m of PE braided line. It is made of 9+2RB and has a double locking system for minimum spool backlash. MAXEL unique carbon drag system delivers smooth drag performance even when it is wet. It comes at power ratio 5.3:1 (line retrieve per crank is 82 cm) and high speed ratio 6.2:1 (line retrieve per crank is 96cm).
MAXEL has followed up the successful release of the F30 with the F40 and F50. They boast the same features and are designed with a gear ratio of 5.0:1 (line retrieve per crank 85 cm) and high speed ratio 5.8:1 (line retrieve per crank is 98cm).. With a line capacity of 40 lb / 400 m and 50 lb / 400 m respectively, they have a powerful maximum drag of 22 kg. All the reels come with a newly designed high leverage handle and ultra-light knobs.
The F30, F40 and F50 is fitted with either a round aluminium power knob and coated EVA, EVA Oval Handle or Carbon T bar . They are available as right or left-hand models and come in eye-catching colours. There is also a silent anti-reverse option.
