"Surviving tropical saltwater flats has got to be one of the toughest jobs for a fly box. Keeping the precious ammunition and ultimately the connection to the fish in not only dry but in perfect order is absolutely paramount. Over the years, I have come to the conclusion that most waterproof boxes are only waterproof on two occasions; in theory and in the product catalogues.
To date, leading brands have been a huge disappointment, with flies slowly corroding away in my backpack out in the surf.
However, I am pleased to report that Fulling Mill’s Xtreme Boxes have been a pleasant surprise. I have used them every day for two months, in both the Indian ocean frontiers and the Caribbean permit grounds and they weren’t even damp on the inside. Great job Fulling Mill! "
