The weather has been a hot topic as of late with rain, wind and swell which as kept many of us inside working on our rigs and gear for when the weather is better. However, there have been some good fish being caught for those who have braved the conditions.
Pittwater and Surrounds - Justin Duggan
This past week or so has seen us tangle with some nice Mulloway. Mother/daughter duo Louise and Chloe tangled with some lovely Mulloway and xOS flathead. Chloe landed a nice Mulloway before hooking onto an absolute beast which was unfortunately eaten by a shark, this is a once rare issue that’s becoming more common. Best lures by far have been bait junkie prawns in 5” and palms slow blat crater in 20 gms.

Shoalhaven - Craig McGill
Spent a few days chasing bream on the Shoalhaven with my brother and nephew but just kept catching these huge EPs . We released them all as it's closed season .

Sydney Harbour/Sydney Offshore - Stuart Reid
Once again the weather has been dreadful. The last trip out we had the bait easy with plenty of yakkas and squid around . Dropping water temperatures will bring the kings on the bite when clarity improves . Offshore will clear before the Harbour so wait for calmer weather to venture out.

A reminder - Always check the weather report before fishing the ocean rocks and stay safe. All beaches in the Northern Beaches are required to wear a lifejacket when fishing.
