Ugly Stik is the innovative brand of fishing rod produced by Shakespeare. Initially produced in 1977, Ugly Sticks have been developed for more than three decades to craft a number of fantastic ranges.
There is a dedicated range for the female angler of rod called the Ugly Stik Pink. The rod used to be pink, however feedback suggested that ladies did not like the sparkling pink style chosen to create a feminine appearance. The old model has been re-created and given a much classier black look with a few pink trimmings.
Like all of the other Ugly Stiks, rods from the Pink range are also crafted through Shakespeare’s innovative Triple Built Howald construction process. This entails wrapping parallel fibers that are infused with special pigmented resin wrapped around a fiberglass inner core to craft robust yet flexible, sensitive blanks.
