One of the most sought after Sportfish is the Dogtooth Tuna. One of the hardest fighting fish in the ocean and definitely one of the hardest to land with consistency. A very frequently asked question is what is your favourite dogtooth jig - an answer I have simply summarised after years of trialing and testing a huge variety of jigs and finding certain patterns as to what seems to get bites for what reason. 

Large dogtooth Tuna have been my biggest adversary for years, the most frustrating sport fish I have encountered on jigging tackle. They are a true test of patience, luck and of course quality tackle preparation! Numerous large dogtooth captures are a real rarity, recently we were lucky enough to experience some world class dogtooth jigging with DropCast operated by Andrea Traverso in Vanuatu.
