Local Fishing Report - Friday 26 September

There are fish aplenty! Big catches of tuna from the south coast. Big snapper and kings off Sydney and plenty of bust ups inshore with the Harbour and Pittwater teeming with feeding salmon and the odd bonito in the mix!

South West Rocks - Vic Levett

We have a great run of Striped Marlin of late. The fish have been found from 20 metres to beyond the shelf. Kingfish ,Snapper, Pearl Perch, trag etc have been responding well to jigs and soft plastics.

Sydney Harbour - Craig McGill

There has been a lot of Bonito and Salmon around on the surface, although the salmon are getting very fussy on lure size.  A few good kings have moved upstream and there is plenty of Blackfish in the lower reaches.

Fishabout Charters - Sydney

Sydney Harbour - Offshore - Stuart Reid

The spring kingy fishing is great at the moment but you have to look for them . The fish are wide spread so have a couple of techniques at the ready . Slimies are the choice for live baiting and are either easy to find or impossible. Sharks continue to be an issue

Rock and Beach - Fishing

Off the surf beach lots of salmon, some chopper tailor and quality trevally as well. OT jigs 30gms, ganged pilchards both working great. beaches to try are Manly, Curl Curl and Newport. Instead of just fishing up till dusk try an extra half an hour after dark it should be worth your while!

A reminder - Always check the weather report before fishing the ocean rocks and stay safe. All beaches in the Northern Beaches are required to wear a lifejacket when fishing.
