The weather is looking pretty good for the long weekend and the fish are coming on the bite. The harbour is seeing a good mix of winter and summer species, the beaches are fishing well for whiting and bream with the rocks producing classic winter fish like rock blackfish. Narrabeen lake is starting to warm quickly with good numbers of smaller sized flathead taking prawn imitation lures.
Our Mona Vale store is open all long weekend for all your bait and tackle needs
Sydney Harbour/Shoalhaven - Craig McGill
Kings have slow up a bit but there are plenty of big salmon around the lower harbour. Silver trevally have been in good numbers around sow and pigs reef and lots of blackfish around the jetties

Narrabeen Lake
The lake is starting to warm up quickly with a good number of smaller sized flathead being caught in the shallows near the ocean bridge. The night time bite has been good with estuary perch taking plastics around the bridges. This time of year the prawns really start to fire up in the lake so prawn imitations are working very well!

Oceanhunter Sportfishing - Vic Levett
Very windy this week and next. The river has not been fishing very well lately. Offshore , the last few trips has yielded small kings at fish rock . Snapper , Trag and Pearlie’s have been the bread and butter species.

A range of species to target. Rock Blackfish are in good numbers. Also silver dummer, salmon and trevally in the mix. Peeled prawns, white bread burley is ideal as it also doubles as bait. Long Reef, Mona Vale and Barrenjoey head. Whiting and sizeable bream caught on pippies and worm baits. Dee Why, Bungan and Palm beach the best picks
