Local fishing report - Friday 19 December

The fishing is starting to fire up just in time for the Christmas break. Larger kings are making their way into the harbour, summer whiting and bream are being caught off our beaches. Flathead and jewfish are lurking around the upper reaches of the harbour.

Sydney Harbour - Craig McGill

A few big kings have finally moved into the harbour just in time for Xmas . The deepwater points are producing fish over a meter on squid bait.
Plenty of good flatties and salmon around the lower reaches of the harbour too.

Fishabout Charters - Sydney

Sydney Harbour Offshore - Stewart Reid

Still some big kings around though a lot of them have spawned and are very lean . Mahi Mahi are late but they must be close . Merry Christmas from Stuart and Seamus

Whiting up to 40+cm of Queenscliff, Dee Why and Newport beaches. Live beach worms and yabbies have been the bait of choice. Bream and whiting are being caught around Middle harbour and North harbour Beach worms and fresh peeled prawns working well. Smaller sized kingfish are taking The Bait Junkie 10in in the white colours off the rocks, North Curl Curl and bluefish point the best spots. They aren't the biggest fish but lots of fun!
