Fishing Report May 29

Fishing Report May 29

Weather has been pretty average with rain and wind. The swell has been up but the fish are still biting. The water is dirty in Pittwater and the Harbour but the kings are still around with trevally moving in. The beaches are churned up from the swell but there are some good gutters around so it's well worth fish as there are some XL size tailor in the deeper gutters.

Sydney Harbour - Craig McGill

Plenty of rainwater coming down the harbour but it hasn't stopped the kingfish. Middle harbour fishing well. Some  big tailor in the main harbour around the islands.

Fishabout Charters - Sydney

Tough going with some pretty ordinary weather
When we did get out the kings were good but I’ve never lost so many fish to sharks!

Beach & Rock Fishing - Alex Bellissimo

Bellissimo Rock Beach Fishing Guide

When you can get out there in between the massive seas and rain the fishing has been quite good off the beaches. Whiting numbers are good 10-15 fish from 28 to 35cm and being caught on live worm baits. Really big tailor for Sydney beaches up to 3.5kg or 70cm impressive a by catch whilst fishing for jewfish. Manly, Dee Why, Bilgola beaches the best of the lot.
