Fishing Report - 26 June

Fishing Report - 26 June

Yes, it's pretty cold, but that's no excuse not to get out and enjoy the fishing action—whether you're fishing from a boat or the shore!

Kingfish have been showing up in Pittwater and Sydney Harbour, with many of them slightly larger than the typical summer rats. Big schools of salmon have also moved inshore, while the beaches continue to produce quality whiting and the rocks are yielding some great snapper.

Sydney Harbour - Craig McGill

Some quality winter kings starting to show up on their usual upstream harbour and middle harbour spots. Cuttlefish baits are the key - best live but fresh will be OK.

Fishabout Charters - Sydney

Sydney Harbour Fishing Tours

School holidays are coming up and with little snow around it's a good idea to take the kids fishing! Kings are presently reliable and even schools of salmon in the Harbour for those who want to stay close.

Pittwater & Sydney - Justin Duggan

Large schools of Australian Salmon are making their way into the harbour and are prolific off a number of beaches. It’s fantastic to see their numbers coming back in the north. Bonito are still feeding on top in Sydney Harbour and Broken Bay. The Hawkesbury is producing some nice EP’s but be aware it’s closed season. My kids Fishing Frothers lure courses are on these July Holidays, contact me for details.

I'm also running my Fishing Frothers kids lure courses on July 8, 15 and 17 at $125 per child (12–17 years), with a limit of four participants per session.
