Fishing Report 1 May
As we reach the last month of autumn there is still a trickle of summer fish being caught but have definitely slowed down. That being said there are still plenty of fish of offer for both the shore based and boat based anglers.
Sydney Harbour - Craig McGill
Lots of huge bonito and tailor around for those fishing live yakkas around the deep water headlands and channel markers. Kings have been around the wrecks in middle harbour and lots of gar on the bait grounds at the moment.
Sydney Harbour - Stuart Reid
We had fun during the school holidays working out the mullet. Seems white is the best colour soft plastic. Squid fishing is great at the moment not so the kings.
Southwest Rocks - Vic Levett
Image and report - Ocean Hunter Sports FishingSpotted mackerel have been on one day and off the very next. The odd longtail tuna and small cobia offshore. Current has been fluctuating . River is full of Big pre spawn Bream.

A report of a 46cm fish caught recently which is a huge fish but not so common. Beach worms, yabbies are the best baits with pippies also working ok. Dee Why and Manly. beaches the best beaches for whiting. Off the rocks rock blackfish and luderick in good numbers Little Bluey Manly.
